Producer - Engineer - Singer - Songwriter. Steve Smith began his career as an engineer at Muscle Shoals Sound in the late 60's. In 1971 he formed his own group, [a=Smith, Perkins & Smith] with [a=Wayne Perkins] and his brother [a=Tim Smith (2)]. He stayed in England and became a producer for Island Records, producing [a=Jim Capaldi] and [a=Bob Marley & The Wailers]. Also produced Robert Palmer, Toots And The Maytals, Rough Diamond, No Dice, [a=Gillan], [a=Supertramp] and others.
